Here you can read the terms and conditions for Paul Ladkin Garden Consultancy. If you have any queries regarding my terms and conditions, please do not hesitate to contact me.

These terms and conditions apply to the Garden Consultant, Paul Ladkin, and the customer(s), who commissions Paul Ladkin to carry out any work on a consulting basis only.

I, Paul Ladkin, hereby agree to independently carry out any works specified and agreed verbally and/or in writing with the customer(s), which services may include (but are not limited to): garden maintenance advice and programs; garden design advice; verifying existing designs and price quotations; project management; plant selection and purchase at wholesalers; garden business start-up advice.

Privacy Policy

I will never share personal information disclosed by my customers, including their full name, email address, home address, telephone number and other personal information, to any third parties.

My services will be charged on a time-charged basis, at the rate of £35 per hour. Additional charges may apply when home visitations are required, to cover travel costs – the costs of which will be agreed upon before any work takes place. Please note that my fees include VAT at 20%.

Details of Services

I aim to provide a professional, thorough, and personal garden consultancy service using my relevant experience and expertise.

Details of garden consultancy services provided will be discussed and agreed upon before any payments are made. Services may include verbal or written advice, reports, management of garden projects, and/or personal maintenance programs, as and when required and agreed. This may also involve online consultations via Skype or FaceTime, home visits, or trips to garden centres, nurseries or wholesalers for plant selection and purchase.

All work will be completed using information provided by the customer. I cannot be liable for any misinformation, or failure to notify me about anything that may affect the outcome of the consultation (such as detailed structural work).

Completion Time

The time it takes to complete a consultation will depend on the time of year, how busy I am, and the type of consultation service required. An estimated time for completion will be provided before I start work.

Full payment for my services must be made before I start work, the details of which will be agreed upon beforehand. If further work is required, or in the case of ongoing consultations, my services will be charged at £35 per additional hour worked.

Customers can pay via bank transfer, cheque, or Paypal.

If a customer is not completely satisfied with the services I have provided, they have 7 days after the completion of the consultation to contact me, and I will do my best to rectify any issues raised and ensure they receive the service they require. If a customer does not allow me to try to rectify the issue, or is not completely satisfied with any further services I have provided, a partial refund may be given, depending on the nature of the work. Travel costs, in regards to any home visits or trips to wholesalers, unfortunately will not be refunded.

In the event that the customer wishes to terminate my services early, or I, for any reason, decide I am unable to complete a consultation, the customer will only be charged for any works already completed at £35 per hour. Any overpayments will be refunded.
